BEESWAX CLOTH WRAPS AND BAGS

Auli Sookari, a local fiber artist led us in a fantastic one day workshop. We all made beeswax wraps and bags for storing food. Auli came prepared with multiple cloths, bags, stamps, paint and her secret wax mixture. It was great fun and she is offering up the class again in March 2020.

“POUR” OR LIQUID ART

Our own Studio 64 Marin member, Sue Yeres and her friend and artist Karen Smith have lead two “pour” art workshops to everyone’s delight. We are hoping they will offer another one up again soon

COLLABORATIVE COLLAGE “GIVING HANDS”

The project started with all participants tracing several versions of their own hands, right and left. We then watercolored and cut out our hands and pinned them up on the board. Each of us then selected a hand to embellish. After several rounds of embellishment the hands were curated and a composition was glued down. The final project was donated to Grateful Gatherings, a local non profit that transitions families out of homelessness.

VALENTINE CARD MAKING

THE PIANO PROJECT

Studio 64 Marin was enlisted to paint a piano by the organization ELM Program in San Rafael. An unadorned piano was delivered to our studio and we first masked and primed then painted it. The piano will be released into San Rafael at some future date for Play Me San Rafael.
