“POUR” OR LIQUID ART

Our own Studio 64 Marin member, Sue Yeres and her friend and artist Karen Smith have lead two “pour” art workshops to everyone’s delight. We are hoping they will offer another one up again soon!

COLLABORATIVE COLLAGE “GIVING HANDS”

The project started with all participants tracing several versions of their own hands, right and left. We then watercolored and cut out our hands and pinned them up on the board. Each of us then selected a hand to embellish. After several rounds of embellishment the hands were curated and a composition was glued down. The final project was donated to Grateful Gatherings, a local non profit that transitions families out of homelessness.

VALENTINE CARD MAKING

THE PIANO PROJECT

Studio 64 Marin was enlisted to paint a piano by the organization ELM Program in San Rafael. An unadorned piano was delivered to our studio and we first masked and primed then painted it. The piano will be released into San Rafael at some future date for Play Me San Rafael.

MOSAIC WORKSHOPS

Lisa Bookstein offers a wonderful 2 day mosaic workshop on a regular basis at Studio 64 Marin. New and continuing students are able to work on projects ranging from simple pavers to birdbaths and planters.

ART JOURNALING

Fran Halperin offers a monthly art journaling workshop at Studio 64 Marin. In this 3 hour session we explore various materials and use altered books as a basis for journaling. No writing or art experience necessary. This is a great opportunity to explore your creativity in a non-threatening and fun environment.

PAPER CUTTING

Bhava Mehta, a celebrated artist from San Diego has lead us in 3 different paper cutting workshops over the last two years.

ENCAUSTIC WORKSHOP

Karen Meadows, a local Marin artist has taught encaustics at many places in the bay area including Studio 64 Marin. Check our events page for her upcoming workshops.
